शैलशृङ्गाणि शतशः प्रवृद्धांश्च महीरुहान् ।
जगृहुः कुञ्जरप्रख्या वानराः परवारणाः ॥६-४१-२९॥
śailaśṛṅgāṇi śataśaḥ pravṛddhāṃśca mahīruhān |
jagṛhuḥ kuñjaraprakhyā vānarāḥ paravāraṇāḥ ॥6-41-29॥
Translation
Those monkeys, resembling elephants in size and capable of warding off enemies, picked up hundreds of mountain peaks and huge trees.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हाथियों के समान विशाल और शत्रुओं को रोकने वाले उन वानरों ने सैकड़ों पर्वत शिखरों और विशाल वृक्षों को (हथियार के रूप में) धारण कर लिया।
English Commentary
The Vanaras arm themselves with their natural weapons: trees and mountain peaks. Described as 'Kunjaraprakhya' (resembling elephants), their brute strength allows them to wield these massive objects effortlessly. This highlights the primitive yet terrifying nature of Shri Rama's army compared to the technological weaponry of Lanka.

वानरों के आयुध (हथियार) प्रकृति प्रदत्त हैं। वे लोहे के शस्त्रों पर निर्भर नहीं हैं। उन्होंने चलते-चलते ही पहाड़ के टुकड़े और बड़े पेड़ उखाड़ लिए हैं। 'कुंजरप्रख्या' (हाथी जैसे) उपमा उनकी शारीरिक शक्ति को बताती है। वे युद्ध के लिए पूरी तरह 'सशस्त्र' होकर चल रहे हैं।
