लङ्कामुपनिविष्टश्च रामो दशरथात्मजः ।
लक्ष्मणानुचरो वीरः पुरीं रावणपालिताम् ॥६-४१-३४॥
laṅkāmupaniviṣṭaśca rāmo daśarathātmajaḥ |
lakṣmaṇānucaro vīraḥ purīṃ rāvaṇapālitām ॥6-41-34॥
Translation
Shri Rama, the son of Dasharatha, accompanied by Lakshmana, the hero, laid siege to the city of Lanka ruled by Ravana and stationed himself there.
हिंदी अनुवाद
दशरथ नंदन वीर श्री राम, लक्ष्मण के साथ, रावण द्वारा पालित उस लंका पुरी के निकट (घेरा डालकर) डट गए।
English Commentary
Reaffirming his position, the verse identifies him as 'Dasharathatmaja' (Son of Dasharatha), invoking his royal lineage and warrior heritage against 'Ravanapalitam' (Ravana-ruled) city. It sets the tableau: the Prince of Ayodhya stands at the gates of the Demon King.

यह श्लोक श्री राम की स्थिति की पुष्टि करता है। वे अब केवल वनवासी नहीं, 'दशरथात्मज' (दशरथ के पुत्र, क्षत्रिय) के रूप में युद्ध के लिए सन्नद्ध हैं। रावण पालित पुरी के सामने दशरथ पुत्र—यह दो महान कुलों और विचारधाराओं का आमना-सामना है।
