Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
निपीड्योपनिविष्टाश्च सुग्रीवो यत्र वानरः ।
शासनेन तु रामस्य लक्ष्मणः सविभीषणः ॥६-४१-४३॥
nipīḍyopaniviṣṭāśca sugrīvo yatra vānaraḥ |
śāsanena tu rāmasya lakṣmaṇaḥ savibhīṣaṇaḥ ॥6-41-43॥
Translation
Where the monkey Sugriva was stationed, pressing the enemy, there too were Lakshmana and Vibhishana, by the order of Shri Rama.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जहाँ वानरराज सुग्रीव (शत्रु को) दबाकर डटे हुए थे, वहीं श्री राम की आज्ञा से लक्ष्मण और विभीषण भी (तैनात थे/निरीक्षण कर रहे थे)।
English Commentary
Coordinaton is key. While stationed primarily, the leaders like Lakshmana and Vibhishana moved or positioned themselves based on Shri Rama's orders ('shasanena') to ensure the siege was tight ('nipidya'). Vibhishana's inside knowledge was likely crucial for positioning these central reserves.

यद्यपि श्री राम उत्तर में और सुग्रीव मध्य में थे, लक्ष्मण और विभीषण श्री राम की आज्ञा से तालमेल बिठा रहे थे। यह श्लोक सेना के लचीलेपन (mobility) को दर्शाता है। विभीषण की सलाह और लक्ष्मण की सक्रियता पूरी सेना को जोड़कर रख रही थी।
