Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
सर्वे विकृतचित्राङ्गाः सर्वे च विकृताननाः ।
दशनागबलाः केचित्केचिद्दशगुणोत्तराः ॥६-४१-४७॥
sarve vikṛtacitrāṅgāḥ sarve ca vikṛtānanāḥ |
daśanāgabalāḥ kecitkeciddaśaguṇottarāḥ ॥6-41-47॥
Translation
All had strange and variegated limbs and terrifying faces. Some possessed the strength of ten elephants, and some had ten times more than that.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे सभी विचित्र और अद्भुत अंगों वाले तथा डरावने चेहरों वाले थे। उनमें से कुछ में दस हाथियों का बल था और कुछ में उससे भी दस गुना अधिक (100 हाथियों का) बल था।
English Commentary
The physical description emphasizes their monstrous and formidable appearance. They are not cute; they are 'vikrita' (deformed/fearsome). Their strength is quantified in 'nagabala' (elephant-strength), ranging from ten to hundreds, highlighting that this is a clash of titans, not ordinary animals.

वानरों की शारीरिक विविधता और शक्ति का वर्णन। वे कोई साधारण बंदर नहीं थे, बल्कि 'विकृत' (असामान्य/विशाल) अंगों वाले योद्धा थे। शक्ति का पैमाना 'नागबल' (हाथियों का बल) है। 10 से 100 हाथियों का बल एक सामान्य वानर योद्धा में होना उनकी अलौकिक क्षमता को सिद्ध करता है।
