वानरैर्मेघसंकाशैः शक्रतुल्यपराक्रमैः ।
महाञ्शब्दोऽभवत्तत्र बलौघस्याभिवर्ततः ॥६-४१-५५॥
vānarairmeghasaṃkāśaiḥ śakratulyaparākramaiḥ |
mahāñśabdo'bhavattatra balaughasyābhivartataḥ ॥6-41-55॥
Translation
A great noise arose there from that flood of an army advancing, consisting of monkeys resembling clouds and possessing valor equal to Indra.
हिंदी अनुवाद
बादलों के समान काले और इन्द्र के समान पराक्रमी वानरों की उस विशाल सेना के आगे बढ़ने से वहाँ महान कोलाहल (शब्द) हुआ।
English Commentary
The auditory impact of the advancing army is described. The roar was deafening. Comparing the monkeys to 'clouds' implies both their dark mass and the thunderous noise they generated. Their valor matches Indra, the King of Gods, signaling that this is a divine retribution force.

दृश्य के बाद अब ध्वनि का वर्णन। करोड़ों वानरों की गर्जना, कदमों की आवाज और जयकारों से 'महान शब्द' उत्पन्न हुआ। वानरों की तुलना बादलों से और पराक्रम की तुलना इंद्र से करना उनके दिव्य और भयानक रूप को दर्शाता है। यह शोर ही शत्रु के दिल में डर पैदा करने के लिए काफी था।
