संमन्त्र्य मन्त्रिभिः सार्धं निश्चित्य च पुनः पुनः ।
आनन्तर्यमभिप्रेप्सुः क्रमयोगार्थतत्त्ववित् ॥६-४१-५९॥
saṃmantrya mantribhiḥ sārdhaṃ niścitya ca punaḥ punaḥ |

English Commentary
Shri Rama is described as an expert in protocol ('krama') and strategy. Despite the army being ready to kill, he consults his council ('sammantrya'). He knows the 'anantaryam' (immediate next duty), which, according to Dharma Shastras, is sending a final messenger (Ulka-mukha or Duta) before releasing arrows. It highlights his adherence to righteous conduct even in extreme provocation.

श्री राम 'क्रमयोगअर्थतत्ववित्' हैं—वे जानते हैं कि किस क्रम में क्या करना चाहिए (Protocol Expert)। सीधे हमले से पहले दूत भेजना राजधर्म है। उन्होंने मंत्रियों (विभीषण, सुग्रीव आदि) से सलाह ली। यह दर्शाता है कि वे तानाशाह नहीं, बल्कि विचार-विमर्श करने वाले राजा हैं। उन्होंने शांति के अंतिम प्रयास का निर्णय लिया।
