भ्रष्टश्रीक गतैश्वर्य मुमूर्षो नष्टचेतन ।
ऋषीणां देवतानां च गन्धर्वाप्सरसां तथा ॥६-४१-६२॥
bhraṣṭaśrīka gataiśvarya mumūrṣo naṣṭacetana |
ṛṣīṇāṃ devatānāṃ ca gandharvāpsarasāṃ tathā ॥6-41-62॥
Translation
(Say to him:) O you of fallen glory! O you who have lost your sovereignty! O you who wish to die! O senseless one! Of the sages, gods, Gandharvas, and Apsaras...

English Commentary
The diplomatic pleasantries are discarded. Shri Rama's message starts with biting epithets: 'Bhrastasrika' (fallen glory), 'Mumursho' (desirous of death). Shri Rama diagnoses Ravana as 'Nashtachetana' (one who has lost his mind/conscience). This is psychological warfare, stripping Ravana of his perceived grandeur.

श्री राम का संदेश अत्यंत कठोर और सत्य है। वे रावण को राजा के रूप में नहीं, बल्कि एक अपराधी के रूप में संबोधित करते हैं। 'मुमूर्षो' (मरने की इच्छा रखने वाला) कहकर वे बताते हैं कि रावण के कर्म ही उसकी मृत्यु का कारण हैं। ये संबोधन रावण के अहंकार को तोड़ने के लिए हैं।
