पदवीं देवतानां च महर्षीणां च राक्षस ।
राजर्षीणां च सर्वेषां गमिष्यसि मया हतः ॥६-४१-६६॥
padavīṃ devatānāṃ ca maharṣīṇāṃ ca rākṣasa |
rājarṣīṇāṃ ca sarveṣāṃ gamiṣyasi mayā hataḥ ॥6-41-66॥
Translation
O Demon! Killed by me, you shall attain the path/abode of the gods, great sages, and royal sages (whom you tormented or who died bravely).
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे राक्षस! मेरे द्वारा मारे जाकर तुम उसी गति (लोक) को प्राप्त करोगे जहाँ वे देवता, महर्षि और राजर्षि गए हैं (जिन्हें तुमने सताया था, या वीरगति को प्राप्त हुए)।
English Commentary
A solemn decree of death. Shri Rama promises that Ravana will travel the path ('padavim') of the departed. It implies that Ravana will soon join the countless victims he sent to the other world. Philosophically, being killed by the Avatar also grants a form of liberation, aligning with the idea that Ravana attains the realm of the righteous through the purification of Shri Rama's arrow.
हिंदी टीका
यह एक व्यंग्यात्मक और गंभीर भविष्यवाणी है। श्री राम कह रहे हैं कि मैं तुम्हें मारकर मुक्त कर दूँगा। या इसका अर्थ है कि तुम मृत्यु को प्राप्त होगे, जो सबकी नियति है। श्री राम के हाथों मरकर रावण को वीरगति या मुक्ति ही मिलेगी, यह भी ध्वनित होता है।
