ग्राहयामास तारेयः स्वयमात्मानमात्मवान् ।
बलं दर्शयितुं वीरो यातुधानगणे तदा ॥६-४१-८८॥
grāhayāmāsa tāreyaḥ svayamātmanamātmavān |
balaṃ darśayituṃ vīro yātudhānagaṇe tadā ॥6-41-88॥
Translation
Then the self-possessed hero, son of Tara, allowed himself to be seized to display his strength amidst the host of demons.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब बुद्धिमान और वीर तारापुत्र (अंगद) ने राक्षस समूह के बीच अपना बल दिखाने के लिए स्वयं को पकड़वा दिया (विरोध नहीं किया)।
English Commentary
Angada plays along. Described as 'atmavan' (self-possessed), he permits the capture. This is not weakness but a calculated move to set up a display of strength ('balam darshayitum'). He wants to humiliate the guards publicly.
हिंदी टीका
अंगद 'आत्मवान' (बुद्धिमान/संयमित) हैं। उन्होंने जानबूझकर खुद को पकड़ने दिया। क्यों? 'बलं दर्शयितुं'—ताकि वे भरी सभा में अपनी शक्ति का प्रदर्शन कर सकें और राक्षसों का मनोबल तोड़ सकें। यह एक मनोवैज्ञानिक दांव था।
