तेऽन्तरिक्षाद्विनिर्धूतास्तस्य वेगेन राक्षसाः ।
भूमौ निपतिताः सर्वे राक्षसेन्द्रस्य पश्यतः ॥६-४१-९०॥
te'ntarikṣādvinirdhūtāstasya vegena rākṣasāḥ |
bhūmau nipatitāḥ sarve rākṣasendrasya paśyataḥ ॥6-41-90॥
Translation
Shaken off from the sky (height) by his speed, all those demons fell to the ground while the Lord of Demons watched.
हिंदी अनुवाद
अंगद के वेग से आकाश (ऊँचाई) से झटके गए वे सभी राक्षस, रावण (राक्षसेन्द्र) के देखते-देखते जमीन पर गिर पड़े।
English Commentary
The humiliation is complete. Angada shakes off the guards like dust. They fall from the height, injured or dead, right in front of Ravana. The phrase 'Rakshasendrasya pashyatah' (while the King watched) underlines Ravana's helplessness in that moment. His authority was physically overthrown.
हिंदी टीका
ऊपर पहुँचकर अंगद ने झटका दिया और वे चारों राक्षस धड़ाम से नीचे आ गिरे। रावण बस देखता रह गया ('पश्यतः')। उसकी आँखों के सामने उसके अंगरक्षकों की यह दुर्दशा उसके अहंकार पर करारा तमाचा थी। अंगद ने बिना हथियार उठाए ही उन्हें परास्त कर दिया।
