हिंदी अनुवाद
वानरों ने सोने के तोरणों को मसल डाला और कैलाश शिखर की आभा वाले (ऊंचे और श्वेत) गोपुरों (मुख्य द्वारों) को ध्वस्त कर दिया।
English Commentary
Targeting the symbols of Ravana's wealth and pride, the monkeys destroy the golden arches and towering gates resembling Mount Kailasa. The comparison to Kailasa implies the structures were massive and white/shining. Their destruction signifies the impending fall of the Rakshasa empire. The assault is both physical and symbolic.

लंका का वैभव नष्ट किया जा रहा था। सोने के तोरण ('काञ्चनानि तोरणानि') और कैलाश जैसे भव्य गोपुर ('गोपुराणि') वानरों के क्रोध का शिकार बने। 'प्रमृद्नन्तः' (मसलते हुए) और 'प्रमथ्य' (तोड़ते हुए) शब्द बताते हैं कि वानर न केवल युद्ध कर रहे थे, बल्कि रावण के ऐश्वर्य को मिट्टी में मिला रहे थे।
