आप्लवन्तः प्लवन्तश्च गर्जन्तश्च प्लवङ्गमाः ।
लङ्कां तामभिधावन्ति महावारणसंनिभाः ॥६-४२-१९॥
āplavantaḥ plavantaśca garjantaśca plavaṅgamāḥ |
laṅkāṃ tāmabhidhāvanti mahāvāraṇasaṃnibhāḥ ॥6-42-19॥
Translation
...leaping, bounding, and roaring, the monkeys, resembling huge elephants, rushed towards that Lanka.

...वे वानर उछलते हुए, कूदते हुए और गर्जना करते हुए, विशाल हाथियों के समान उस लंका की ओर दौड़ पड़े।
English Commentary
The kinetic energy of the attack is vivid. The monkeys are constantly in motion—leaping and bounding. Comparing them to 'mahavarana' (great elephants) highlights their mass and destructive potential despite their agility. The combination of agility (monkey-like) and mass (elephant-like) makes them a terrifying force.

वानरों की गतिशीलता अद्भुत थी। 'आप्लवन्तः' (उछलना) और 'प्लवन्तः' (तैरना/कूदना) उनकी युद्ध शैली है। उन्हें 'महावारणसंनिभाः' (विशाल हाथियों के समान) कहा गया है, जो उनकी शक्ति और आकार को दर्शाता है। वे एक अनियंत्रित बाढ़ की तरह लंका में घुस रहे थे।
