आवृत्य बलवांस्तस्थौ विंशत्या कोटिभिर्वृतः ।
सुषेणः पश्चिमद्वारं गतस्तारापिता हरिः ॥६-४२-२६॥
āvṛtya balavāṃstasthau viṃśatyā koṭibhirvṛtaḥ |
suṣeṇaḥ paścimadvāraṃ gatastārāpitā hariḥ ॥6-42-26॥
Translation
Blocking it, the mighty monkey Sushena, the father of Tara, surrounded by twenty Crores, went to the Western Gate and stood there.
हिंदी अनुवाद
बीस करोड़ वानरों से घिरे हुए, तारा के पिता बलवान वानर सुषेण ने पश्चिमी द्वार पर जाकर उसे घेर लिया।
English Commentary
Sushena, a senior and respected leader (Tara's father), takes charge of the Western Gate. Commanding a force of twenty crores, he blocks the exit. This implies a heavy anticipated resistance at this gate (often associated with Indrajit in strategy). Sushena's presence adds gravitas and wisdom to this front.

पश्चिमी द्वार पर सुषेण को भेजा गया। सुषेण तारा के पिता और बालि के ससुर थे, जो उनकी वरिष्ठता और अनुभव को दर्शाता है। पश्चिमी द्वार पर रावण ने इंद्रजीत को रखा था, इसलिए वहां एक अनुभवी योद्धा की आवश्यकता थी। बीस करोड़ की संख्या वहां के खतरे के अनुपात में थी।
