आवृत्य बलवांस्तस्थौ षष्टिकोटिभिरावृतः ।
उत्तरं द्वारमासाद्य रामः सौमित्रिणा सह ॥६-४२-२७॥
āvṛtya balavāṃstasthau ṣaṣṭikoṭibhirāvṛtaḥ |
uttaraṃ dvāramāsādya rāmaḥ saumitriṇā saha ॥6-42-27॥
Translation
Reaching the Northern Gate, the mighty Shri Rama, along with Lakshmana (Saumitri), surrounded by sixty Crores, blocked it and stood there.
हिंदी अनुवाद
साठ करोड़ वानरों से घिरे हुए बलवान श्री राम, लक्ष्मण (सौमित्रि) के साथ उत्तरी द्वार पर पहुंचकर और उसे घेरकर खड़े हो गए।
English Commentary
The command center of the siege. Shri Rama and Lakshmana take the Northern Gate. Since Ravana had stationed himself at the North Gate, Shri Rama deliberately chooses to confront him directly. The deployment of the largest force (sixty crores) here signifies that this is the main axis of attack. It highlights Shri Rama's leadership—leading from the front against the most dangerous adversary.

यह सबसे महत्वपूर्ण मोर्चा है। रावण स्वयं उत्तरी द्वार पर था, इसलिए श्री राम ने स्वयं लक्ष्मण के साथ इस द्वार की कमान संभाली। 'साठ करोड़' की सबसे बड़ी टुकड़ी यहाँ तैनात की गई। यह श्री राम का साहस है कि वे सीधे मुख्य शत्रु का सामना करने गए, न कि किसी सुरक्षित स्थान पर छिपे रहे।
