English Commentary
While the Vanara commanders actively managed the lines ('paridhavanto' - running around), Ravana watched the tightening noose. His reaction switches from the earlier anxiety to pure rage ('kopaparitatma'). The coordinated aggression of the 'animals' he despised provoked him into unleashing his full military might.

गज आदि सेनापतियों का कार्य प्रबंधन था। वे दौड़-दौड़ कर कमजोर कड़ियों को संभाल रहे थे। इधर, रावण ने जब देखा कि वानरों ने पूरी तरह घेरा डाल दिया है और आक्रमण शुरू हो गया है, तो वह 'कोपपरीतात्मा' (क्रोध से व्याप्त आत्मा वाला) हो गया। उसका धैर्य अब टूट चुका था।
