समरे पूर्यमाणस्य वेगा इव महोदधेः ।
ततो वानरसैन्येन मुक्तो नादः समन्ततः ॥६-४२-३८॥
samare pūryamāṇasya vegā iva mahodadheḥ |
tato vānarasainyena mukto nādaḥ samantataḥ ॥6-42-38॥
Translation
Like the currents of the great ocean overflowing at the time of dissolution, (the Rakshasa army rushed out). Then, a roar was released on all sides by the monkey army.
हिंदी अनुवाद
प्रलयकाल में उमड़ते हुए महासागर के वेग के समान (राक्षस सेना निकली)। तब वानर सेना द्वारा भी सब ओर से (जवाबी) नाद (गर्जना) किया गया।
English Commentary
The exit of the Rakshasa army is compared to the ocean overflowing ('mahodadheh vegah'), implying an unstoppable force. The Vanaras respond in kind with a massive roar ('nadah'). This sonic clash precedes the physical one, establishing the equal intensity of both sides.
हिंदी टीका
राक्षस सेना का वेग समुद्र जैसा था। इसके जवाब में वानरों ने भी गर्जना की। क्रिया की प्रतिक्रिया हुई। दोनों ओर से शोर का टकराना युद्ध के भौतिक टकराव से पहले का मानसिक टकराव है।
