Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
मलयः पूरितो येन ससानुप्रस्थकन्दरः ।
शङ्खदुन्दुभिसंघुष्टः सिंहनादस्वरस्विनाम् ॥६-४२-३९॥
malayaḥ pūrito yena sasānuprasthakandaraḥ |
śaṅkhadundubhisaṃghuṣṭaḥ siṃhanādasvarasvinām ॥6-42-39॥
Translation
By which (sound), the Malaya mountain with its peaks, plateaus, and caves was filled/echoed. The sound of conches and drums was mixed with the loud lion-roars of the warriors.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जिस (शोर) से चोटियों, पठारों और कन्दराओं सहित मलय पर्वत भर गया (गूंज उठा)। शंख और नगाड़ों का वह घोष सिंहनाद करने वाले वीरों के स्वरों से युक्त था।
English Commentary
The reverberation of the war cry reaches the Malaya mountain, filling its caves and valleys. This emphasizes the magnitude of the sound. The mix of artificial instruments (conches, drums) and organic voices (lion-roars) creates a chaotic symphony of war.

युद्धघोष इतना तीव्र था कि दूर स्थित मलय पर्वत भी गूंज उठा। प्रकृति (पहाड़, कंदराएं) युद्ध के शोर से भर गई। शंख, नगाड़े और योद्धाओं के सिंहनाद मिलकर एक प्रलयंकारी ध्वनि उत्पन्न कर रहे थे।
