पृथिवीं चान्तरिक्षं च सागरं चैव नादयन् ।
गजानां बृंहितैः सार्धं हयानां हेषितैरपि ॥६-४२-४०॥

gajānāṃ bṛṃhitaiḥ sārdhaṃ hayānāṃ heṣitairapi ॥6-42-40॥

हिंदी अनुवाद
हाथियों की चिंघाड़ और घोड़ों की हिनहिनाहट के साथ मिलकर उस शोर ने पृथ्वी, आकाश और सागर को गुंजा दिया।
English Commentary
The inclusion of cavalry (horses) and war elephants adds distinct sounds—neighing ('heshita') and trumpeting ('brimhita'). The noise pollution is total, covering earth, sky, and sea. It signifies a battle of cosmic proportions involving all elements of creation.

राक्षस सेना में हाथी और घोड़े थे (जो वानरों के पास नहीं थे)। उनके जानवरों की आवाजों ने शोर को और बढ़ा दिया। पृथ्वी, आकाश और सागर—तीनों लोक इस आसन्न युद्ध की गवाही दे रहे थे। यह सर्वव्यापी कोलाहल विश्व-युद्ध जैसा माहौल बनाता है।
