राज्ञो जयेत्युक्त्वा स्वनामख्यापयंस्ततः ।
निजघ्नुस्तानि रक्षांसि नखैर्दन्तैश्च वेगिताः ॥६-४२-४५॥
rājño jayetyuktvā svanāmākhyāpayaṃstataḥ |
nijaghnustāni rakṣāṃsi nakhairdantaiśca vegitāḥ ॥6-42-45॥
Translation
Saying 'Victory to the King' and proclaiming their own names, those impetuous monkeys killed those Rakshasas with their nails and teeth.
हिंदी अनुवाद
'राजा (सुग्रीव/श्री राम) की जय हो' ऐसा कहकर और अपना-अपना नाम बताकर (घोषित करके), वे वेगवान वानर नखों और दांतों से उन राक्षसों को मारने लगे।
English Commentary
Adhering to the warrior code, the Vanaras announce their identity before engaging. Lacking swords, they use their natural weapons—nails and teeth. This primal combat style ('nakhair dantaishcha') against armed Rakshasas highlights their ferocity and the desperate nature of the close-quarter battle.

युद्ध धर्म के अनुसार, योद्धा मारने से पहले अपना परिचय देता है। वानर भी 'स्वनाम आख्यापयन्' (अपना नाम बताते हुए) लड़ रहे थे। हथियारों के अभाव में उन्होंने अपने 'नख' (नाखून) और 'दन्त' (दांत) का प्रयोग किया। यह उनकी पाशविक शक्ति और साहस का अद्भुत प्रदर्शन है।
