वानराश्चापरे भीमा राक्षसैर्परैः सह ।
द्वन्द्वं समीयुर्बहुधा युद्धाय बहुभिः सह ॥६-४३-१५॥
vānarāścāpare bhīmā rākṣasairaparaiḥ saha |
dvandvaṃ samīyurbahudhā yuddhāya bahubhiḥ saha ॥6-43-15॥
Translation
Other terrible monkeys also met many other Rakshasas in various ways for individual duels, many fighting with many.

अन्य भयंकर वानर भी दूसरे अनेक राक्षसों के साथ अलग-अलग टोलियों में बहुत प्रकार से द्वन्द्व-युद्ध करने लगे।
English Commentary
This verse describes the vastness of the battle. Not just the main leaders, but the entire army is now engaged in face-to-face combat. The word 'Bahudha' indicates the various styles of fighting and the countless duels taking place. The land of Lanka has become an arena for the warriors to display their supreme valor.

यह श्लोक युद्ध की व्यापकता का वर्णन करता है। केवल मुख्य नायक ही नहीं, बल्कि पूरी सेना अब आमने-सामने के युद्ध में व्यस्त है। 'बहुधा' शब्द यहाँ युद्ध की विविध शैलियों और अनगिनत द्वन्द्वों की ओर संकेत करता है। लंका की भूमि अब वीरों के शौर्य प्रदर्शन का अखाड़ा बन चुकी है।
