Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
संपातिस्तु त्रिभिर्बाणैः प्रजङ्घेन समाहतः ।
निजघानाश्वकर्णेन प्रजङ्घं रणमूर्धनि ॥६-४३-२०॥
saṃpātistu tribhirbāṇaiḥ prajaṅghena samāhataḥ |
nijaghānāśvakarṇena prajaṅghaṃ raṇamūrdhani ॥6-43-20॥
Translation
Though struck by three arrows by Prajangha, Sampati killed Prajangha at the front of the battle using an Ashwakarna tree.
हिंदी अनुवाद
प्रजंघ द्वारा तीन बाणों से मारे जाने पर भी सम्पाती ने युद्ध के मैदान में अश्वकर्ण नामक वृक्ष से प्रजंघ का वध कर दिया।
English Commentary
Sampati’s endurance and counter-attacking ability are remarkable here. Despite being wounded by arrows, he effectively utilized a tree as a weapon. This is an example of the Vanaras' natural combat style, where, in the absence of conventional weapons, they turn elements of nature into instruments of death.

सम्पाती की सहनशक्ति और प्रत्युत्तर देने की क्षमता यहाँ दर्शनीय है। बाणों की चोट सहकर भी उन्होंने वृक्ष को शस्त्र के रूप में प्रयोग किया। यह वानरों की प्राकृतिक युद्धकला का उदाहरण है, जहाँ वे कृत्रिम शस्त्रों के अभाव में प्रकृति के अंगों को ही काल का रूप बना देते हैं।
