भिन्नगात्रैः शरैस्तीक्ष्णैर्मित्रघ्नेन विभीषणः ।
मित्रघ्नं गदया क्रुद्धो निजघान विभीषणः ॥६-४३-२५॥
bhinnagātraiḥ śaraistīkṣṇairmitraghnena vibhīṣaṇaḥ |
mitraghnaṃ gadayā kruddho nijaghāna vibhīṣaṇaḥ ॥6-43-25॥
Translation
Though his body was pierced by the sharp arrows of Mitraghna, the enraged Vibhishana killed Mitraghna with a mace.
हिंदी अनुवाद
मित्रघ्न के तीखे बाणों से शरीर बिंध जाने पर क्रोधित विभीषण ने गदा के प्रहार से उस मित्रघ्न को मार गिराया।
English Commentary
Vibhishana's combat skills here demonstrate his patience and resilience. His decisive strike with a mace after enduring the enemy's arrows proved fatal. This duel further strengthens his commitment to the righteous war. Slaying Mitraghna is not just the end of an enemy but a purification of the path Vibhishana has chosen.
