पुनः शरशतेनाथ क्षिप्रहस्तो निशाचरः ।
बिभेद समरे नीलं निकुम्भः प्रजहास च ॥६-४३-३२॥
punaḥ śaraśatenātha kṣiprahasto niśācaraḥ |
bibheda samare nīlaṃ nikumbhaḥ prajahāsa ca ॥6-43-32॥
Translation
Once again, that quick-handed night-stalker Nikumbha pierced Nila with a hundred arrows in the battle and laughed loudly.
हिंदी अनुवाद
पुनः उस शीघ्र हाथ चलाने वाले निशाचर निकुम्भ ने युद्ध में नील को सौ बाणों से बेध दिया और अट्टहास करने लगा।
English Commentary
Nikumbha's loud laughter highlights his arrogance. Striking with a hundred arrows simultaneously demonstrates his lethal proficiency. It is a demonic trait to derive pleasure from the suffering of an opponent. However, this triumph is short-lived, as the resilience of a hero like Nila is yet to be fully revealed.

निकुम्भ का अट्टहास उसके अहंकार को दर्शाता है। सौ बाणों का एक साथ प्रहार करना उसकी निपुणता को प्रकट करता है। राक्षसों की यह प्रवृत्ति होती है कि वे शत्रु को कष्ट में देखकर प्रसन्न होते हैं। किन्तु यह हंसी क्षणभंगुर है, क्योंकि नील जैसे वीर का धैर्य अभी बाकी है।
