एतस्मिन्नन्तरे तेषामन्योन्यमभिधावताम् ।
रक्षसां वानराणां च द्वन्द्वयुद्धमवर्तत ॥६-४३-५॥
etasminnantare teṣāmanyonyamabhidhāvatām |
rakṣasāṃ vānarāṇāṃ ca dvandvayuddhamavartata ॥6-43-5॥
Translation
In the meantime, as the Rakshasas and Vanaras rushed at each other, individual duels (man-to-man combat) broke out between them.

इसी बीच, एक-दूसरे की ओर आक्रमण के लिए दौड़ते हुए उन राक्षसों और वानरों के बीच व्यक्तिगत युद्ध (द्वन्द्व-युद्ध) छिड़ गया।
English Commentary
The collective battle has now shifted into individual duels. In the Ramayana, 'Dvandva-Yuddha' holds significant importance, where two warriors choose each other to prove their personal superiority.
