तपनेन गजः सार्धं राक्षसेन महाबलः ।
निकुम्भेन महातेजा नीलोऽपि समयुध्यत ॥६-४३-९॥
tapanena gajaḥ sārdhaṃ rākṣasena mahābalaḥ |
nikumbhena mahātejā nīlo'pi samayudhyata ॥6-43-9॥
Translation
The mighty Gaja fought with the Rakshasa named Tapana, and the highly radiant Nila also engaged in combat with Nikumbha.
हिंदी अनुवाद
महाबली गज ने तपन नामक राक्षस के साथ और महातेजस्वी नील ने निकुम्भ के साथ युद्ध किया।
English Commentary
Gaja and Nila are critical commanders of the Vanara army. Their engagement with Rakshasas like Tapana and Nikumbha ensures that elite warriors are stationed at every front of the battle. Nila, who is both the chief architect and a general, has his martial prowess clearly highlighted in this verse.
