रुरोध कर्णनेत्राणि युध्यतां धरणीरजः ।
वर्तमाने महाघोरे संग्रामे रोमहर्षणे ॥६-४४-११॥
rurodha karṇanetrāṇi yudhyatāṃ dharaṇīrajaḥ |
vartamāne mahāghore saṃgrāme romaharṣaṇe ॥6-44-11॥
Translation
As that terrifying and hair-raising battle raged on, the dust of the earth blocked the ears and eyes of the fighting warriors.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस महाभयानक और रोंगटे खड़े कर देने वाले संग्श्री राम के चलने पर, पृथ्वी की धूल ने युद्ध करने वाले योद्धाओं के कान और नेत्र बंद कर दिए।
English Commentary
A sensory description of the battle's intensity. The word 'romaharshane' (hair-raising) indicates how disturbing the scene was. The dust was so dense it choked the senses of the warriors, forcing them to fight by instinct alone.

युद्ध की तीव्रता का संवेदी वर्णन। रोमहर्षणे (रोमांचकारी/भयानक) शब्द बताता है कि यह दृश्य कितना विचलित करने वाला था। धूल इतनी घनी थी कि उसने योद्धाओं की देखने और सुनने की शक्ति को अवरुद्ध कर दिया, जिससे वे केवल अंतर्ज्ञान से लड़ रहे थे।
