ततः पर्यन्तरक्ताक्षो भिन्नाञ्जनचयोपमः ।
रावणिर्भ्रातरौ वाक्यमन्तर्धानगतोऽब्रवीत् ॥६-४५-१०॥
tataḥ paryantraktākṣo bhinnāñjanacayopamaḥ |
rāvaṇirbhrātarau vākyamantardhānagato'bravīt ॥6-45-10॥
Translation
Then, having eyes with red corners and resembling a heap of crushed collyrium (black pigment), the son of Ravana spoke these words to the brothers while remaining invisible.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर, जिसके नेत्रों के किनारे लाल थे और जो पिसे हुए काजल के ढेर (भिन्नाञ्जन) के समान (काला) था, उस रावणपुत्र ने अंतर्धान (अदृश्य) रहते हुए ही उन दोनों भाइयों से यह वचन कहा।
English Commentary
Indrajit's appearance mirrors his dark deeds: black as collyrium with red-rimmed eyes. Speaking while invisible ('antardhanagatah') adds to the psychological terror. It represents the archetype of the adharmic warrior who relies on stealth and sorcery rather than open valor to demoralize his opponents.
