युध्यमानमनालक्ष्यं शक्रोऽपि त्रिदशेश्वरः ।
द्रष्टुमासादितुं वापि न शक्तः किं पुनर्युवाम् ॥६-४५-११॥
yudhyamānamanālakṣyaṃ śakro'pi tridaśeśvaraḥ |
draṣṭumāsādituṃ vāpi na śaktaḥ kiṃ punaryuvām ॥6-45-11॥
Translation
'Even Indra, the Lord of gods, is unable to see or approach me when I am fighting invisibly; what then to speak of you two youths?'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'युद्ध करते हुए और दिखाई न देते हुए मुझे देखने में या मेरे पास पहुंचने में देवताओं के राजा इन्द्र भी समर्थ नहीं हैं, फिर तुम दोनों युवकों की तो बात ही क्या है?'
English Commentary
Indrajit boasts of his superiority, referencing his victory over Indra. He mocks Shri Rama and Lakshmana as mere 'youths' ('yuvam'), implying they are insignificant mortals compared to the gods he has conquered. This hubris blinds him to the fact that he is facing the Avatar of Vishnu, not just ordinary humans.

इन्द्रजित अपने नाम की सार्थकता सिद्ध करता है—उसने इन्द्र को जीता था। उसे अपने वरदानों पर घमंड है। वह श्री राम और लक्ष्मण को तुच्छ 'युवा' मात्र समझता है। उसका यह कथन उसके अहंकार की पराकाष्ठा है, जहाँ वह स्वयं को देवराज इन्द्र से भी श्रेष्ठ और अजेय मान रहा है।
