भिन्नाञ्जनचयश्यामो विस्फार्य विपुलं धनुः ।
भूयोभूयः शरान् घोरान् विससर्ज महामृधे ॥६-४५-१४॥
bhinnāñjanacayaśyāmo visphārya vipulaṃ dhanuḥ |
bhūyobhūyaḥ śarān ghorān visasarja mahāmṛdhe ॥6-45-14॥
Translation
Dark like a heap of crushed collyrium, he stretched his massive bow and repeatedly released terrible arrows in that great battle.
हिंदी अनुवाद
काजल के ढेर के समान काले उस (इन्द्रजित) ने अपने विशाल धनुष को खींचकर, उस महायुद्ध में बार-बार भयानक बाण छोड़े।
English Commentary
Indrajit is relentless. He draws his 'vipulam dhanuh' (massive bow) and fires repeated volleys. The description evokes a machine-like precision in delivering death. The relentless nature of the attack allows the heroes no respite to recover or counter-attack.

इन्द्रजित का आक्रमण निरंतर था। उसका काला वर्ण और भयानक बाण युद्धभूमि को और अधिक डरावना बना रहे थे। महायुद्ध शब्द बताता है कि यह कोई साधारण झड़प नहीं थी, बल्कि युद्ध का एक निर्णायक मोड़ था।
