Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
बद्धौ तु वीरौ पतितौ शयानौ तौ वानराः संपरिवार्य तस्थुः ।
समागता वायुसुतप्रमुख्या विषादार्ताः परं च जग्मुः ॥६-४५-२८॥
baddhau tu vīrau patitau śayānau tau vānarāḥ saṃparivārya tasthuḥ |
samāgatā vāyusutapramukhyā viṣādārtāḥ paraṃ ca jagmuḥ ॥6-45-28॥
Translation
The monkeys stood surrounding those two heroes who were bound, fallen, and lying down. The leaders headed by the son of Wind (Hanuman) assembled there, afflicted with sorrow and went into deep (despair).
हिंदी अनुवाद
बंधे हुए, गिरे हुए और लेटे हुए उन दोनों वीरों को वानर घेरकर खड़े हो गए। वायुपुत्र (हनुमान) आदि प्रमुख वानर वहां एकत्र होकर विषाद (दुख) से पीड़ित हो गए और (चिंता में) डूब गए।
English Commentary
The sarga ends with a tableau of despair. The heroes are 'baddhau' (bound) and 'shayanau' (lying down). The mighty Vanara chiefs, led by Hanuman, form a protective but helpless ring around them. Their state is 'vishadartah' (struck with grief). Even Hanuman, usually the solution-provider, is momentarily overwhelmed by the tragedy.

सर्ग का समापन एक दुखद दृश्य के साथ होता है। श्री राम-लक्ष्मण बंधे पड़े हैं और हनुमान जैसे प्रमुख वीर उन्हें घेरकर असहाय खड़े हैं। विषाद से पीड़ित होना उनकी मानसिक स्थिति को बताता है। वे समझ नहीं पा रहे थे कि अब क्या करें, क्योंकि उनके भगवान ही गिर चुके थे।
