तेजसा यशसा चैव विक्रमेण च संयुतम् ।
इन्द्रजित्त्वात्मनः कर्म तौ शयानौ समीक्ष्य च ॥६-४६-११॥
tejasā yaśasā caiva vikrameṇa ca saṃyutam |
indrajittvātmanaḥ karma tau śayānau samīkṣya ca ॥6-46-11॥
Translation
Indrajit, endowed with brilliance, fame, and prowess, looked at the two (Shri Rama and Lakshmana) lying there and observed the result of his own deed.

तेज, यश और पराक्रम से युक्त इन्द्रजित ने भूमि पर पड़े हुए उन दोनों (श्री राम और लक्ष्मण) को और अपने द्वारा किए गए कार्य को देखा।
English Commentary
Indrajit is at the height of self-infatuation here. He believes he has achieved what no one else could. His sense of 'Yasha' (fame) and 'Vikrama' (prowess) has mutated into pure ego. He mistakes a temporary tactical success for the ultimate truth, a classic flaw of the demonic intellect.

इन्द्रजित यहाँ आत्ममुग्धता के चरम पर है। उसे लग रहा है कि उसने वह कार्य कर दिया है जो कोई और नहीं कर सका। उसकी 'यश' और 'विक्रम' की भावना यहाँ अहंकार में बदल गई है। वह अपनी क्षणिक सफलता को ही अंतिम सत्य मान बैठा है, जो राक्षसी बुद्धि का दोष है।
