उवाच परमप्रीतो हर्षयन् सर्वनैर्ऋतान् ।
दूषणस्य च हन्तारौ खरस्य च महाबलौ ॥६-४६-१२॥
uvāca paramaprīto harṣayan sarvanairṛtān |
dūṣaṇasya ca hantārau kharasya ca mahābalau ॥6-46-12॥
Translation
Extremely pleased and gladdening all the Rakshasas, he said: These two very powerful slayers of Dushana and Khara—

अत्यंत प्रसन्न होकर और सभी राक्षसों को हर्षित करते हुए वह बोला— दूषण और खर का वध करने वाले ये महाबली—
English Commentary
Indrajit is particularly pleased because he believes he has avenged the deaths of his paternal uncles, Khara and Dushana. He is boosting the morale of the Rakshasas. The slaying of Khara and Dushana in Janasthana was the first major proclamation of Shri Rama's prowess, and Indrajit feels he has closed that chapter today.

इन्द्रजित को विशेष प्रसन्नता इसलिए है क्योंकि उसने अपने चाचाओं (खर और दूषण) के वध का प्रतिशोध ले लिया है। वह राक्षसों का मनोबल बढ़ा रहा है। खर-दूषण का वध जनस्थान में श्री राम के पराक्रम की पहली बड़ी घोषणा थी, और इन्द्रजित को लग रहा है कि उसने उस अध्याय को आज समाप्त कर दिया है।
