Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
सादितौ मामकैर्बाणैर्भ्रातरौ रामलक्ष्मणौ ।
नेमो मोक्षयितुं शक्यावेतस्मादिषुबन्धनात् ॥६-४६-१३॥
sāditau māmakairbāṇairbhrātarau rāmalakṣmaṇau |
nemo mokṣayituṃ śakyāvetasmādiṣubandhanāt ॥6-46-13॥
Translation
These two brothers, Shri Rama and Lakshmana, have been struck down by my arrows. No one is capable of releasing them from this bond of arrows.
हिंदी अनुवाद
ये दोनों भाई श्री राम और लक्ष्मण मेरे बाणों से धराशायी हो गए हैं। अब कोई भी इन्हें इस बाण-बन्धन (नागपाश) से मुक्त नहीं कर सकता।
English Commentary
Indrajit's absolute certainty is the seed of his destruction. He has forgotten whom he is confronting. To claim that no one can release them shows an ego that places himself above divine providence. He is so blinded by the power of his Naga-pasha that he cannot perceive any possibility of their recovery.
हिंदी टीका
इन्द्रजित का यह विश्वास उसके विनाश का बीज है। वह भूल गया है कि वह किनके सामने खड़ा है। 'नमो मोक्षयितुं शक्यावे' कहना उसके उस अहंकार को दर्शाता है जहाँ वह स्वयं को ईश्वर से भी ऊपर मान रहा है। उसे अपने नागपाश की शक्ति पर इतना घमण्ड है कि वह भविष्य की संभावनाओं को देख ही नहीं पा रहा।
