Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
सोऽयं मूलहरोऽनर्थः सर्वेषां निहतो मया ।
रामस्य लक्ष्मणस्यापि सर्वेषां च वनौकसाम् ॥६-४६-१६॥
so'yaṃ mūlaharo'narthaḥ sarveṣāṃ nihato mayā |
rāmasya lakṣmaṇasyāpi sarveṣāṃ ca vanaukasām ॥6-46-16॥
Translation
That misfortune (Shri Rama) which destroyed the very root of everything has been killed by me today. Now it is the end of Shri Rama, Lakshmana, and all these Vanaras.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उन सबका जड़ से विनाश करने वाला वह अनर्थ (श्री राम) आज मैंने मार दिया है। अब श्री राम, लक्ष्मण और इन सभी वानरों का अंत हो गया है।
English Commentary
Indrajit calls Shri Rama a 'misfortune' (Anartha), which is the perspective of Adharma. In reality, the misfortune was Ravana's sin, which Shri Rama came to uproot. This proclamation reveals Indrajit's folly and his false pride in victory. He thinks he has cut the root, unaware that his own end is near.

इन्द्रजित श्री राम को 'अनर्थ' कह रहा है, जो अधर्म की दृष्टि है। वास्तव में अनर्थ रावण का पाप था, जिसे श्री राम जड़ से मिटाने आए थे। इन्द्रजित की यह घोषणा उसकी मूर्खता और विजय के मिथ्या अभिमान को प्रकट करती है। वह समझ रहा है कि उसने जड़ काट दी है, जबकि वह स्वयं ही कटने वाला है।
