द्वाभ्यां द्वाभ्यां महावेगो विव्याध युधि रावणिः ।
गोलाङ्गुलेश्वरं चैव वालिपुत्रमथाङ्गदम् ॥६-४६-२१॥
dvābhyāṃ dvābhyāṃ mahāvego vivyādha yudhi rāvaṇiḥ |
golāṅguleśvaraṃ caiva vāliputramathāṅgadam ॥6-46-21॥
Translation
The highly swift Indrajit pierced both the leader of the monkeys (Gavaksha) and Angada, the son of Vali, with two arrows each in the battle.
हिंदी अनुवाद
अत्यंत वेग वाले इन्द्रजित ने युद्ध में गवाक्ष और बालीपुत्र अंगद को भी दो-दो बाणों से बेध दिया।
English Commentary
By striking Angada, he challenges the Vanara prince. Indrajit's immense speed ('Mahavega') allows him to hit multiple targets simultaneously. He is fully exploiting his invisibility, leaving the Vanaras unable to mount a counter-attack.
हिंदी टीका
अंगद पर प्रहार करके वह वानर युवराज को चुनौती दे रहा है। इन्द्रजित की गति (महावेग) उसे एक साथ कई लक्ष्यों पर प्रहार करने की सुविधा दे रही है। वह अपनी अदृश्यता का पूरा लाभ उठा रहा है, जिससे वानर प्रतिघात करने में असमर्थ हैं।
