परं विस्मयमाजग्मुः कर्मणा तेन हर्षिताः ।
विनेदुश्च महानादान् सर्वतो जलदोपमाः ॥६-४६-२६॥
paraṃ vismayamājagmuḥ karmaṇā tena harṣitāḥ |
vineduśca mahānādān sarvato jaladopamāḥ ॥6-46-26॥
Translation
They were extremely delighted and filled with great wonder by that deed. Like clouds, they began to make loud roars from all sides.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे उस कार्य से अत्यंत हर्षित हुए और बड़े आश्चर्य में पड़ गए। वे बादलों के समान सब ओर से भयंकर गर्जना करने लगे।
English Commentary
The joy of the Rakshasa army is a preamble to their destruction. Their cloud-like roaring represents their collective ego. They are astonished that the brothers who had humiliated Lanka were defeated so easily. This joy and wonder are merely the fruits of their ignorance.
हिंदी टीका
राक्षसी सेना का हर्ष उनके विनाश की पूर्वसूचना है। 'जलदोपमाः' गर्जना उनके सामूहिक अहंकार को दर्शाती है। उन्हें आश्चर्य है कि जिन भाइयों ने लंका की नाक काट दी थी, वे इतनी सरलता से पराजित हो गए। यह हर्ष और आश्चर्य उनके अज्ञान का ही फल है।
