प्रविवेश पुरीं लङ्कां हर्षयन् सर्वराक्षसान् ।
रामलक्ष्मणयोर्दृष्ट्वा शरीरे मायकैश्चिते ॥६-४६-२९॥
praviveśa purīṃ laṅkāṃ harṣayan sarvarākṣasān |
rāmalakṣmaṇayordṛṣṭvā śarīre māyakaiścite ॥6-46-29॥
Translation
Gladdening all the Rakshasas, he entered the city of Lanka. Having seen the bodies of Shri Rama and Lakshmana covered with arrows—

English Commentary
Indrajit's entry into the city is that of a conqueror. He carries the false news of victory. This scene marks the beginning of the countdown to Lanka's destruction. The arrows on Shri Rama's body symbolize the suffering He endures for the sake of humanity.

इन्द्रजित का नगर में प्रवेश एक विजेता के रूप में है। वह अपने साथ विजय का मिथ्या समाचार लेकर जा रहा है। यह दृश्य लंका के विनाश की उलटी गिनती का आरम्भ है। श्री राम के शरीर पर बाणों का होना उनके द्वारा मानवता के लिए सहे जा रहे कष्टों का प्रतीक है।
