सुग्रीवस्य शुभे नेत्रे प्रममार्ज विभीषणः ।
ततः सलिलमादाय विद्यया परिजप्य च ॥६-४६-३५॥
sugrīvasya śubhe netre pramamārja vibhīṣaṇaḥ |
tataḥ salilamādāya vidyayā parijapya ca ॥6-46-35॥
Translation
Vibhishana wiped the auspicious eyes of Sugriva. Then, taking water and consecrating it with a mantra—

सुग्रीव के उन सुंदर नेत्रों को विभीषण ने पोंछा। फिर जल लेकर और उसे मन्त्रों से अभिमन्त्रित करके—
English Commentary
Vibhishana assumes the role of a healer here, providing both mental and physical support. Consecrating water with 'Vidyaya' (mantras) shows that he possessed auspicious spiritual knowledge. It is a wonderful scene of service and dedication within the alliance.

विभीषण यहाँ एक उपचारक (Healer) की भूमिका में हैं। वे न केवल मानसिक बल्कि भौतिक सहायता भी कर रहे हैं। 'विद्यया' (मन्त्रों द्वारा) जल को अभिमन्त्रित करना यह दर्शाता है कि विभीषण के पास सात्विक विद्याएं भी थीं। यह सेवा और समर्पण का अद्भुत दृश्य है।
