कर्णे कर्णे प्रकथिता हरयो हरिसत्तम ।
मां तु दृष्ट्वा प्रधावन्तमनीकं संप्रहर्षितुम् ॥६-४६-४३॥
karṇe karṇe prakathitā harayo harisattama |
māṃ tu dṛṣṭvā pradhāvantamanīkaṃ saṃpraharṣitum ॥6-46-43॥
Translation
O best of monkeys! These Vanaras are whispering (fears) into each other's ears. But when they see me running to gladden the army—

हे वानर श्रेष्ठ! ये वानर एक-दूसरे के कान में (डर की) बातें कर रहे हैं। जब वे मुझे सेना को हर्षित करने के लिए दौड़ते हुए देखेंगे—
English Commentary
Whispering is a sign of indiscipline and fear within the ranks. Vibhishana senses this. He knows that his own activity and enthusiasm will serve as an inspiration for the Vanaras. It is not enough for a leader to just be present; he must appear active and full of confidence.

फुसफुसाहट (कानेफूसी) सेना में अनुशासनहीनता और भय का लक्षण है। विभीषण इसे भांप लेते हैं। वे जानते हैं कि उनकी सक्रियता और उनका उत्साह वानरों के लिए प्रेरणा बनेगा। एक नेता का केवल उपस्थित होना ही पर्याप्त नहीं है, उसका सक्रिय और आत्मविश्वास से भरा दिखना अनिवार्य है।
