जग्मुर्दर्शयितुं तस्यै राक्षस्यो रामलक्ष्मणौ ।
रावणोऽकारयल्लङ्कां पताकाध्वजमालिनीम् ॥६-४७-१५॥
jagmurdarśayituṃ tasyai rākṣasyo rāmalakṣmaṇau |
rāvaṇo'kārayallaṅkāṃ patākādhvajamālinīm ॥6-47-15॥
Translation
...the demonesses went to show her Shri Rama and Lakshmana. (Meanwhile) Ravana had the entire Lanka decorated with garlands of flags and banners.
हिंदी अनुवाद
...वे राक्षसियाँ उन्हें श्री राम और लक्ष्मण को दिखाने के लिए ले गईं। (उधर) रावण ने पूरी लंका को पताकाओं और ध्वजाओं की मालाओं से सजा दिया था।
English Commentary
Observe the contrast - Sita's grief on one side, and celebration in Lanka on the other. Ravana had ordered the decoration of Lanka to celebrate his so-called victory.

विरोधाभास देखिए - एक ओर सीता का शोक, और दूसरी ओर लंका में उत्सव। रावण ने अपनी तथाकथित विजय का जश्न मनाने के लिए लंका को सजाने का आदेश दिया था।
