प्रहृष्टमनसश्चापि ददर्श पिशिताशनान् ।
वानरांश्चापि दुःखार्तान् रामलक्ष्मणपार्श्वतः ॥६-४७-१८॥
prahṛṣṭamanasaścāpi dadarśa piśitāśanān |
vānarāṃścāpi duḥkhārtān rāmalakṣmaṇapārśvataḥ ॥6-47-18॥
Translation
She saw the flesh-eating demons in high spirits and the monkeys, stricken with grief, surrounding Shri Rama and Lakshmana.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उन्होंने मांसभक्षी राक्षसों को प्रसन्न मन वाला देखा और वानरों को श्री राम-लक्ष्मण के पास दुख से पीड़ित देखा।
English Commentary
The battlefield scene was clear - the jubilation of the victors (Rakshasas) and the lamentation of the defeated (Vanaras). The term 'pishitashanan' (flesh-eaters) underscores the savage nature of the Rakshasas.
