वीक्षमाणा दिशः सर्वास्तिर्यगूर्ध्वं च वानराः ।
तृणेष्वपि च चेष्टत्सु राक्षसा इति मेनिरे ॥६-४७-४॥
vīkṣamāṇā diśaḥ sarvāstiryagūrdhvaṃ ca vānarāḥ |
tṛṇeṣvapi ca ceṣṭatsu rākṣasā iti menire ॥6-47-4॥
Translation
The monkeys looked in all directions, sideways and upward. Even when blades of grass moved, they thought, 'These are Rakshasas.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
वानर सभी दिशाओं में, तिरछा और ऊपर भी देख रहे थे। तिनकों के हिलने पर भी वे यही मानते थे कि ये राक्षस हैं।
English Commentary
This verse portrays the psychological impact of Indrajit's 'Maya Yuddha' (invisible warfare). The Vanaras were so apprehensive that even the movement of grass caused by wind made them suspect the presence of enemies. This reflects their extreme vigilance and the trauma caused by fighting an invisible foe.

यह श्लोक इन्द्रजित के 'माया युद्ध' (अदृश्य युद्ध) के मनोवैज्ञानिक प्रभाव को दर्शाता है। वानर इतने आशंकित थे कि हवा से हिलते तिनके में भी उन्हें शत्रु का आभास हो रहा था। यह भय का नहीं, बल्कि अत्यधिक सतर्कता और अदृश्य शत्रु के प्रति उनकी विवशता का चित्रण है।
