Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
आधिराज्येऽभिषेको मे ब्राह्मणैः पतिना सह ।
कृतान्तकुशलैरुक्तं तत्सर्वं वितथीकृतम् ॥६-४८-१४॥
ādhirājye'bhiṣeko me brāhmaṇaiḥ patinā saha |
kṛtāntakuśalairuktaṃ tatsarvaṃ vitathīkṛtam ॥6-48-14॥
Translation
Brahmins skilled in astrology/fate predicted my coronation in the empire along with my husband. All of that has been rendered false.
हिंदी अनुवाद
ज्योतिष शास्त्र (कृतांत) में कुशल ब्राह्मणों ने कहा था कि पति के साथ मेरा साम्राज्य में अभिषेक होगा। वह सब (वचन) आज झूठा कर दिया गया।
English Commentary
The coronation ('abhisheka') was the central promise of her life. Expert astrologers ('kritantakushalaih') had guaranteed it. Seeing Shri Rama dead means this divine promise is void. 'Vitathikritam' (made false/futile) expresses her disillusionment with the cosmic order that allowed such a tragedy.

राज्याभिषेक की भविष्यवाणी सबसे प्रमुख थी। 'कृतान्तकुशलैः' (भाग्य/काल के जानकारों) ने यह कहा था। श्री राम की मृत्यु ने उस अभिषेक की संभावना को सदा के लिए समाप्त कर दिया ('वितथीकृतम्')। सीता का दुख केवल पति को खोने का नहीं, बल्कि सत्य और धर्म के पराजित होने का भी है।
