Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
न कालस्यातिभारोऽस्ति कृतान्तश्च सुदुर्जयः ।
यत्र रामः सह भ्रात्रा शेते युधि निपातितः ॥६-४८-१९॥
na kālasyātibhāro'sti kṛtāntaśca sudurjayaḥ |
yatra rāmaḥ saha bhrātrā śete yudhi nipātitaḥ ॥6-48-19॥
Translation
There is no burden too heavy for Time (Kala), and Destiny/Death (Kritanta) is hard to conquer, seeing that Shri Rama, along with his brother, lies struck down in battle.
हिंदी अनुवाद
काल (समय) के लिए कुछ भी अतिभार (कठिन/भारी) नहीं है और मृत्यु (कृतांत) को जीतना बहुत कठिन है, जहाँ (देखो) श्री राम भाई सहित युद्ध में गिराए जाकर सो रहे हैं।
English Commentary
Sita philosophicalizes the tragedy. If even Shri Rama can fall, then 'Kala' (Time/Destiny) is truly omnipotent and 'Kritanta' (Death) unconquerable. 'Na atibharah' (nothing is too heavy/impossible) for Time. This verse places the event in a cosmic context—even avatars must submit to the play of Time.

सीता दार्शनिक निष्कर्ष पर पहुँचती हैं। 'काल' सर्वशक्तिमान है। यदि श्री राम जैसा महापुरुष भी धराशायी हो सकता है, तो काल के लिए कोई भी कार्य 'अतिभार' (बोझ) नहीं है। 'कृतांत' (यम/भाग्य) सुदुर्जय है। यह विलाप मानवीय सीमाओं और नियति की प्रबलता को स्वीकार करता है।
