Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
वीरपार्थिवपत्नी त्वं ये धन्येति च मां विदुः ।
तेऽद्य सर्वे हते रामे ज्ञानिनोऽनृतवादिनः ॥६-४८-५॥
vīrapārthivapatnī tvaṃ ye dhanyeti ca māṃ viduḥ |
te'dya sarve hate rāme jñānino'nṛtavādinaḥ ॥6-48-5॥
Translation
Those who knew/declared me as 'Blessed, you are the wife of a heroic king'—all those wise men have become liars today with Shri Rama being killed.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जिन्होंने मुझे 'तुम वीर राजा की पत्नी और धन्य हो' ऐसा जाना (कहा) था, आज श्री राम के मारे जाने पर वे सभी ज्ञानी झूठे सिद्ध हो गए।
English Commentary
Sita recalls being called 'dhanya' (blessed/fortunate) and the wife of a 'viraparthiva' (heroic king). The irony is sharp—her 'heroic' husband lies defeated, and her 'blessed' life is shattered. She questions the wisdom of those who saw fortune in her future, as her present is filled with the ultimate misfortune of widowhood.

सीता को 'वीरपार्थिवपत्नी' (वीर राजा की पत्नी) कहा गया था। श्री राम निस्संदेह वीर थे, लेकिन युद्ध में उनकी 'मृत्यु' ने इस उपाधि को निरर्थक कर दिया। सीता स्वयं को 'धन्या' (भाग्यशाली) माने जाने पर प्रश्न उठाती हैं, क्योंकि वे स्वयं को सबसे अभागिन मान रही हैं।
