तच्च मिथ्याप्रलप्तं मां प्रवक्ष्यति न संशयः ।
यन्मया न कृतो राजा राक्षसानां विभीषणः ॥६-४९-२२॥
tacca mithyāpralaptaṃ māṃ pravakṣyati na saṃśayaḥ |
yanmayā na kṛto rājā rākṣasānāṃ vibhīṣaṇaḥ ॥6-49-22॥
Translation
Undoubtedly, Vibhishana will now call me a speaker of lies, as I have failed to make him the king of the Rakshasas.
हिंदी अनुवाद
निश्चित ही अब विभीषण मुझे झूठी बातें करने वाला कहेंगे, क्योंकि मैं उन्हें राक्षसों का राजा नहीं बना सका।
English Commentary
Shri Rama is worried about His promise. He had promised to make Vibhishana the king of Lanka. Due to Lakshmana's condition, He now doubts His own victory and the fulfillment of His word. This strikes a deep blow to His dharma of being truthful.
हिंदी टीका
श्री राम को अपने वचन की चिंता है। उन्होंने विभीषण को लंका का राजा बनाने का वचन दिया था। लक्ष्मण की इस अवस्था के कारण उन्हें अपनी विजय और अपने वचन की पूर्ति पर संदेह हो रहा है। यह उनके 'सत्यवादी' धर्म को गहरी चोट पहुँचा रहा है।
