कृतं सुग्रीव तत्सर्वं भवता धर्मभीरुणा ।
मित्रकार्यं कृतमिदं भवद्भिर्वानरर्षभाः ॥६-४९-२९॥
kṛtaṃ sugrīva tatsarvaṃ bhavatā dharmabhīruṇā |
mitrakāryaṃ kṛtamidaṃ bhavadbhirvānaraṛṣabhāḥ ॥6-49-29॥
Translation
O righteous Sugriva! You have done everything that was in your power. O foremost of Vanaras! You all have fulfilled your duty toward a friend.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे धर्मपरायण सुग्रीव! आपने वह सब किया जो आपके वश में था। हे वानर श्रेष्ठों! आप सभी ने मित्र के प्रति अपना कर्तव्य पूरा किया है।
English Commentary
Calling Sugriva 'Dharmabhiru' (righteous/pious) is a praise for his integrity. Shri Rama thanks all the Vanaras collectively. This moment of farewell is deeply emotional, where the Lord, while seemingly accepting His defeat, still protects the glory of His friends.

सुग्रीव को 'धर्मभीरु' (धर्म से डरने वाला या धर्मपरायण) कहना उनकी सत्यनिष्ठा की प्रशंसा है। श्री राम सभी वानरों को सामूहिक रूप से धन्यवाद दे रहे हैं। यह विदाई का क्षण अत्यंत भावुक है, जहाँ प्रभु अपनी हार स्वीकार करते हुए भी अपने मित्रों के यश की रक्षा कर रहे हैं।
