वर्तयांचक्रुरश्रूणि नेत्रैः कृष्णेतरेक्षणाः ।
ततः सर्वाण्यनीकानि स्थापयित्वा विभीषणः ॥६-४९-३१॥

vartayāṃcakruraśrūṇi netraiḥ kṛṣṇetarekṣaṇāḥ |
tataḥ sarvāṇyanīkāni sthāpayitvā vibhīṣaṇaḥ ॥6-49-31॥

Translation

Streams of tears began to flow from the eyes of those red-eyed Vanaras. Then Vibhishana, having steadied all the armies—

उन लाल नेत्रों वाले वानरों की आँखों से आंसुओं की धारा बहने लगी। तब विभीषण ने सभी सेनाओं को स्थिर करके—

English Commentary

The pain of the Vanaras is now flowing out as tears. Vibhishana's re-entry here infuses a new hope. He is trying to stabilize his army. This verse shows that even in extreme despair, there is always one person who stands up to manage the situation.

हिंदी टीका

वानरों की पीड़ा अब आंसुओं के रूप में बाहर आ रही है। विभीषण का यहाँ पुनः प्रवेश एक नई आशा का संचार करता है। वे अपनी सेना को संभालने का प्रयास कर रहे हैं। यह श्लोक दिखाता है कि अत्यंत निराशा में भी कोई एक व्यक्ति खड़ा होता है जो व्यवस्था को संभालने का प्रयास करता है।
