तन् मे दहति गात्राणि विषम् पीतम् इव आशये ।
हा नाथ इति प्रिया सा माम् ह्रियमाणा यद् अब्रवीत् ॥६-५-७॥
tanme dahati gātrāṇi viṣaṃ pītamivāśaye । hā nātheti priyā sā māṃ hriyamāṇā yadabravīt ॥6-5-7॥
Translation
That cry of 'Oh Lord!' which my beloved uttered calling me while being abducted, burns my limbs like poison drunk into the stomach.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हरण करते समय उस प्रिया ने 'हा नाथ!' कहकर जो मुझे पुकारा था, वह (स्मरण) मेरे अंगों को वैसे ही जला रहा है जैसे पेट (आशय) में पिया हुआ विष।
English Commentary
The trauma of the abduction haunts Shri Rama. The phrase 'Ha Natha' (Oh Protector) is a piercing reminder of his failure to protect her at that moment. He compares this guilt and memory to ingested poison ('visam pitamiva'), causing a burning sensation in his very core. It highlights the burden of responsibility he carries.

अपराध बोध और क्षत्रिय धर्म। सीता का 'हा नाथ' (हे स्वामी/रक्षक) पुकारना श्री राम को सालता है। वे उसके रक्षक थे, फिर भी रक्षा नहीं कर पाए। यह स्मृति विष ('विषम्') की तरह उन्हें अंदर ही अंदर जला रही है। यह पीड़ा शारीरिक से अधिक मानसिक और नैतिक है।
