शरैरिमावलं विद्धौ रुधिरेण समुक्षितौ ।
वसुधायामिमौ सुप्तौ दृश्येते शल्यकाविव ॥६-५०-१७॥
śarīramimavalaṃ viddhau rudhiraṇa samukṣitau |
vasudhāyāmimau suptau dṛśyete śalyakāviva ॥6-50-17॥
Translation
'Wounded in body, covered in blood, and sleeping on the earth, these two look like porcupines (due to the arrows sticking out).'
हिंदी अनुवाद
शरीर में घायल, रक्त से सने हुए और पृथ्वी पर सोए हुए ये दोनों सेही (कांटों वाले जीव) के समान दिख रहे हैं।
English Commentary
The simile of the porcupine illustrates the sheer number of arrows. Their bodies were so riddled with arrows that the skin was barely visible. This is a deeply painful visual.

सेही (Porcupine) की उपमा बाणों की अधिकता को दर्शाती है। उनके शरीरों में इतने बाण लगे थे कि त्वचा दिख नहीं रही थी। यह दृश्य अत्यंत कष्टदायक है।
